DC Connectors Europe Series - suitable for every purpose
The Europe Series DC connectors are used to connect a motor to the battery or battery charger. Typical applications are forklift trucks or electrically powered vehicles of any kind.
Each model consists of a plug with the corresponding socket. It is possible to mount a handle on both parts.
All models are prepared for the use of reducing sleeves, depending on the diameter of the cable used. The main contacts are made of electrolytic silver-coated copper.
As required by the applicable standards for plugs and sockets for electrically powered vehicles, the connectors are provided with a coding pin for the operating voltage. This is to ensure that only plugs and sockets for the same voltages are connected to each other. We use different coding pins for 24-36-48-72-80-96V.
The end piece of both the plug and the socket is formed by cable clamps with strain relief, which at the same time ensure protection degree IP 23 for the electrical contacts. All current-carrying parts are finger-safe.
In addition to the main contacts, leading auxiliary contacts can be fitted to the plugs and sockets, which can carry a maximum current of 20A.
As part of the uniform guidelines for forklift truck manufacturers, the European Union has issued the directives EEC89/392 and EEC73/23. These clearly define the requirements for plug connectors.
