Geared limit switch series FCN – suitable for every purpose
The geared limit switch of the FCN series has been used for many years for a wide variety of applications. The switch, which has been introduced for many years, has proven itself especially in crane construction under the most difficult industrial conditions.
In general, the geared limit switch is used for motion control of industrial machines and plants. The revolutions of the shaft are transmitted to a cam switch mechanism through which mechanical switching contacts are actuated. All variants of the switching contacts are designed as auxiliary current switches.
Reduction ratios from 1:7.5 to 1:550 are available for the FCN series geared limit switches. The switch can be equipped with a maximum of 5 switching contacts. Each cam can be individually adjusted to the desired position and thus enables flexible definition of end positions and reference points.
To reduce abrasion and rust, the transmission and guide shafts of the gears are made of stainless steel.
All materials in direct contact with the environment are resistant to gases, oils and extreme temperature changes. The circumferential rubber seal provides optimum protection against dust and water, allowing IP 65 protection to be easily achieved. The optimised interior allows quick and easy cabling.
